In the past year or so, words like pivot, adapt, transformation and “new norms” have been thrown at us. What does all this mean?

The church is having to deal with change, but without a change mindset, we’ll continue to resist change opposed to embracing it and properly navigating through it.

By the way, change is not always bad. Jesus himself ushered in a brand-new season with his arrival and those committed to the old ways of doing things resisted it.


Why Does Digital Transformation Matter to The Church?

Digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into all areas of a organization, fundamentally changing how you operate and deliver value to customers or for churches, members. It's also a cultural change that requires organizations to continually challenge the status quo, experiment, and adept new ideas in order to more effectively reach their target audience.

The internet and social media are the new mission fields. In order for churches to better position themselves to compete in this new mission field, churches must be willing to adopt new technologies and strategies. COVID-19 has driven a shift to technology and churches that want to succeed must understand how to merge technology with strategy.

Technology continues to fundamentally change not only the way we gather and share information, but also how we connect with each other. As the technology integrated into our society becomes more advanced and widely accessible, people are looking to it to fill more facets of their lives than ever before.

Why does it seem at times the church stands on the sidelines in awe of the many technological advances our society is making, but unwilling to deploy these same platforms and tools for the sake of ministry?

This keynote promises to challenge the church’s though process concerning technology and seeing it as a useful tool for good.
